What Can You Expect? Worship is an important part of our meetings.  We were created to worship God, but we have struggled with the fact of how to do so acceptably.  As a result, various forms of worship have been developed to which people adhere according to their individual tastes.  Is this what God wants, or is there a biblical pattern for worship?  There is an acceptable way to worship!  The key is found in:     Jn 4:24  “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”  If the Spirit is not present, worship becomes an empty, lifeless form.  Worship that is not conformed to the Word of God may become either unbalanced emotionalism or dead ritualism.  God has placed within His Word the how, when, where and why we are to worship Him.  When our worship is guided by the Holy Spirit, centred on Jesus Christ and conformed to God’s Word, then we are worshiping in spirit and truth. Our worship is "spirit led", and some of the songs that we sing have been birthed in City of Refuge.  God is building our worship team and we have great musicians and singers who are able to flow in line with the moving of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is also a priority in our meetings and is preached with the view of encouraging, strengthening and challenging.  It is always Bible based, faith-building with a practical application that will enable us to live out our Christian lives. Personal participation is always encouraged whether it is a word of testimony, a prophetic word or just a word of encouragement. Ministers We believe in the operation of Ephesians 4:11-12 ministry gifts of apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor and teacher and desire to see them fully functioning.  The Pastors and leaders of this Church are: Tony Spearing:  a five-fold teacher who has been in the ministry since 1978 He has ministered in  Wales, England, Eastern Europe, Mexico and USA.  He returned to this country at the end of 2001 having spent 11 years residing and ministering in the United States of America.  His wife Jenny works fulltime as an Office Manager at a large farming enterprise. Ron Crahart:  is a five-fold prophet and has many years experience in the ministry, having served as an Assemblies of God pastor in several churches in the UK.  He has a prophetic anointing that inspires, excites and envisions his hearers.  His wife Elvira is a woman of prayer and is a true support to her husband.
